Man, technology is great when it works. Unfortunately this is not one of those times. I bought a pair of webcams for Ashley and myself so that we could talk while she is over in Scotland. I installed the software with no problem. When I plugged the camera in to the USB port however crisis ensued. My screen went blank for a second and then all of the coloars and the display completely spazzed out. An error message came up saying: "The ati2dvaa display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality." I commenced to saying many curse words and phrases of anger and confusion. I the unplugged the camera and restarted my computer. Everything was normal, as the error message had promised. I then thought I could possibly plug the camera back in (after an unsuccessful attempt at finding a solution on ATI's website). The same thing happened again. I unplugged the camera and rebooted my computer again. Everything returned to normal yet again. I then went to ATI's website to see if I could fix the problem. After about an hour and a half or so I still couldn't find a solution (mainly from my lack of computer savoir-faire). I have now com to the following course of action: 1. Drink beer 2. Go to sleep 3. Call computer savvy friend tommorow and try to fix the problem 4. If step 3 fails repeat step 1 and smash things (such as stupid non-working webcam).

Time for steps 1 and 2.
