It's been so long since I last posted that I almost forgot how! Man alive! Well, alot has happened since my last post. I went to Ft. Lewis, WA for LDAC (think of it as a 33 day long test for cadets), went to Ft. Drum, NY and pretended to be a rifle platoon leader in an Infantry company, got back to school 2 or 3 days after class started to discover that I was made the Cadet Battalion Commander, and now I'm not studying. If I could figure out how to use Picasa then I would post some pictures, but I am easily frustrated and it doesn't respond to threats of beatings. I really can't wait until November 14th, that's when I'm supposed to find out what branch I've been assigned to, which means that I'll have a rough idea of where I'll be this time next year. I also can't believe that I'm supposed to graduate in May and that I am supposed to be a Second Lieutenant the day after I graduate. Sometimes I wonder exactly what I've gotten myself into, but then I think of what else I could do and not much else comes to mind except for being an old timey explorer. Hopefully I'll get Infantry. Then I'll be close to home while I'm training, I'll get to go to all sorts of cool schools, and I'll get to play with boom boom sticks. Walking around with 90+ pounds of gear on your body sucks, but not as much as being stuck behind a desk all day. Plus I'll get to "see the world" not in the way that most people do, but the really crappy parts where people don't like you. So I figure it'll make me appreciate Anniston a little more. Well, I've procrastinated long enough. I'm off to read "Inside Al-Queada" for my Political Science class.
